MORENTE (2011)
The singer, the man, the genius
Musical performance where Enrique Morente details his life to the rhythm of songs based on the words of Pablo Picasso and where his own life encountered the story of the painter from Malaga and his greatest friend, the barber Eugenio Arias.
Enrique Morente
He is one of the foremost exponents of Flamenco and Spanish music today with far-reaching international significance. From his breakaway musical vision of the work of Federico Garcia Lorca through his album "Omega", Morente has become one of the leaders of both orthodox flamenco and fusion with other genres. In the same vein as that legendary "Omega", Enrique Morente has created another work intended for the altar of musical myths, based on the written texts and works of Pablo Picasso. As he will confirm: " His writings are his own autobiography, where his nostalgia for Andalusia, the bulls, food and its customs seeps in".
